Portentia for Troika Bestiary Jam 2024

A submission for the Troika! Community Jam: Bestiary 2024

Taken from my upside down Sphere of Invertia, the Portentia is a flower unlike any other. Preying only on sentient beings, it lures them into dipping their heads into its refreshing pool. Once done so, they are implanted with a vision of their own demise: a seed of self-fulfilling prophecy. Should they then encounter such a situation in future they will become stricken with a near-paralysing sense of deja-vu, crippling their ability to avoid such dangers. 

Should they as such fall victim to an early demise... a new bloom will grow from their presumably shattered skull, starting the cycle all over again.
